MOREST CAMPGROUND RULES:
Customers and visitors to
the Campground assume all risks and danger incidental to the activity of camping
in an outdoor environment including specifically (but not exclusively), the
danger of being injured by insects, animals, poison ivy; of being injured while
participating in recreational activities, such as swimming at the Camp or of
being injured as a result of inclement weather conditions, and agrees by
entering on to the property known as Morest Campground that the business or
owners are not liable for injuries resulting from such causes.
Morest Campground business and its owners, agents and employees are not
liable for injuries, property damages including loss of money or personal
valuables.
MOREST CAMPGROUND provides short term overnight camping facilities.
We request your assistance in maintaining a clean, fun, and friendly
environment. The following
information is provided for your safety, privacy and convenience.
ALCOHOL BEVERAGES: Limited to your
immediate camping site. No glass
bottles. Please use cans or plastic.
Open display of alcohol in common areas is not allowed.
Broken glass on a campsite or in fire pit is automatic forfeiture of your
deposit.
CAMPFIRES:
Per Wasaga Beach City Bylaws:
Campfires are limited to the fire pits and must be attended to by an adult at
all times. Please be sure campfires
are doused and completely out before retiring or leaving the campground.
No campfires should exceed 1 meter in diameter and ½ meter in height.
Campfires are permitted between 7am - 9am; 11am - 2pm; 5pm - 1am.
ALL CAMPFIRES MUST BE
EXTINGUISHED BY 1 AM. Fines
levied by the fire department are the responsibility of the person renting the
campsite.

CIGARETTE BUTTS:
Please
do not throw cigarette butts on the ground or in the fire pits.
CURFEW:
Children must be at their own campsite by 10:00 pm
DEPOSITS:
A $20.00 Campsite Rules and Clean-up Deposit will be applied to each
campsite. Failure to keep your
campsite/cabin area clean or violation of the rules will result in the loss of
the rules deposit. $200.00
refundable damage/rules deposit for cabins. $50.00
lost cabin key.
FIREWOOD:
is available for purchase. Please do
not bring or use your own firewood or lumber into the park. Collecting of wood or breaking of tree branches is not permitted.
$100.00 fine will be assessed and charged to the person(s) registered
on the site which the violation occurs. Additional
fines levied by the fire department for violations are the responsibility of the
person renting the campsite.
FIREWORKS:
No fireworks or sparklers of any kind are
allowed in the campground or on surrounding property.
GARBAGE:
Place all garbage
in the trashcans located throughout the camp or in the dumpster across from the
office. Please do not throw bottles,
cans, cigarette butts, or trash in the fire pits.
HAZARDS:
Like any wooded environment, please be cautious of area wildlife and
poison ivy.
HATCHETS:
Hatches, axes, saws, or any other wood cutting devices are prohibited and
will be confiscated. Item will be returned upon departure.
ID BANDS:
All campers will be provided a wrist band on holiday or specialty
weekends for admittance into the campground. Campers
must wear their ID wrist band at all times while on property.
Lost bands will not be replaced without a fee.
LATE ARRIVAL:
For your comfort and safety, only campers with reservations will be
admitted into the park after 10:00 pm.
After 11:00 pm we will not admit anyone in the park who has not
previously registered and set up their campsite.
We do not allow vehicles traffic in the camping area between 11:00 pm and
8:00 am.
PETS:
Pets must be kept tied or leashed.
Pets are not to be left unattended.
No animals in the swimming pool area.
Please promptly clean up after your pet and prevent your dogs from
barking.
PICNIC TABLES:
$200.00 fine for damaging, burning, carving on, or writing on the picnic
tables.
QUIET HOURS: 11:00 pm to 8:00am.
No excessive noise or music at any
time. “Excessive” is defined as
any noise which could disturb your
neighbors. One of the happiest
camping experiences is the evening campfire.
Although quiet group gatherings around the campfire are permitted,
all music must be turned off at 11:00 pm.
NO
REFUNDS:
No refunds are
given for early departure, inclement weather, family emergencies, or any other
issue. Cancellation policy: Fee equal to
one night’s stay per reserved
campsite or cottage.
SWIMMING:
9:00 am – 8:00 pm, in season, weather permitting.
There is no lifeguard on duty.
Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Proper swim wear is required in pool area.
NO jeans or cutoffs.
No food, glass, or smoking is allowed in
the pool area.
TREES:
It takes years to grow a tree.
Please do not cut trees or break branches off.
$100.00 fine for damaging trees.
Campfire wood is available for purchase at the office for $10.00 a
bundle.
VALUABLES:
Please keep your valuables secure and out of sight when not in use.
Morest Campground is not responsible for loss of money or valuables or
damages to personal property.
VANDALISM, rowdiness, drunkenness, disrespectful or disorderly behavior, profane
language, and untidiness will not be tolerated.
Firearms, motorized trail bikes are not allowed at any time, under any
circumstances.
THE PARK MANAGEMENT HAS THE RIGHT TO
EVICT OR REFUSE ADMISSION TO ANYONE NOT ABIDING BY THESE RULES.
VEHICLES:
One veh parks free per site or cottage.
Additional vehicles are $10 each per night.
Maximum of two vehicles per campsite.
10 km/h speed limit. All
vehicles must have a pass card displayed on the front dashboard during
designated weekends. Failure to
comply could result in the towing at the owner’s expense.
VISTORS:
Visitors must sign in at the office.
Visitor fee: $15 per day.
Visitors must depart by 8:00pm.
Visitor vehicles must be left parked in the office parking lot area.
No visitors are permitted at any
time on Holiday Weekends.
WASHROOMS:
Please flush. Please help
keep our facilities clean and in good working order.
Do not throw excessive wads of toilet paper, tampons, sanitary pads, or
paper towels into the toilets.
Please conserve hot water so the next person showering will have hot water too.
Limit yourself to a 5 minute shower.
Morest Campground is privately owned and
operated. The Park is patrolled by
the Ontario Provincial Police, who are authorized to enforce the laws of the
land. Persons refusing to adhere to
the rules will be asked to leave the property.
If you are evicted from the grounds, no reservation, rules deposits or
advanced payments applied to the site on which the perpetrator is registered
will be refunded.
